Usually used on plate saws for an exacting finish and tight tolerances. Typical sizes are (but not limited to) 20″ – 28”. Also in metric sizes: 500mm – 720 mm, with appropriate tooth counts for the application. Saws include MetlSaw, Schelling, and Briganto (to name a few) to cut plate thicknesses from 1/4″ – 14″. Specialty Saw manufactures industrial carbide-tipped circular saw blades from 10” – 88” which run on a variety of saws and systems. Our broad industrial production experience includes all aspects of metal production from casting billets and cakes to extruding shapes and profiles, to cutting plates in metal service centers through to extrusion profile cut-offs and machining systems.
With over sixty-eight years of experience, we can readily advise and design which blade profiles and production recipes will run best with which non-ferrous alloy and at what feed rates. Our experience also encompasses saw set-up and inspection, to ensure that optimal cutting performance is achieved for maximum blade life to guarantee consistent cutting and operating costs. We cut both hot and cold materials depending on the application or the production line. Our knowledge of saw requirements will allow you to get the best out of your production equipment.

A blade is no better than the saw it is on and how well they are engineered to work together.
Specialty Saw, Inc. provides those engineering services to each of its customers. This includes a “no-cost inspection” of each of their sawing operations including a written survey report with an eye toward best practices, safety, and operator training.
